A closer look at recent work
Cattlemen's Lounge at Lakeside Rodeo Grounds
The Lakeside Rodeo has been a cornerstone of community tradition since the 1930s. At Southwest Construction Services, we are proud to have contributed to that legacy by rebuilding the Cattlemen's Lounge. The former penthouses were demolished in May 2024 to make way for the new building.
The previous structure was outdated, termite-infested and no longer ADA compliant. The project faced its share of challenges, including pausing mid-build to accommodate a scheduled rodeo event. Remarkably, 90 percent of the subcontractors involved were local East County businesses, many of whom donated time, materials and labor.
The result is a modern, three-story building that now serves as the centerpiece of the rodeo grounds, providing a welcoming space for events and gatherings and a vital fundraising resource for local youth programs, all delivered within a tight budget.
Wells Park Pickleball Courts & Pro Shop
The Wells Park pickleball courts and pro shop represent a valuable investment in recreation, wellness and community connection. Prior to construction, the site lacked the infrastructure to support such a project.
Southwest Construction Services was proud to deliver a facility that meets those needs while enhancing the surrounding community for years to come.
